Cocktail at the Byzantian Cistern Yerebatan

Istanbul

Cocktails begin at 7pm.
It is possible to organise a classical music concert in the magical underground Basilica Cistern in order to take advantage of the extraordinary acoustics there.
The Cistern of Yerebatan is an ancient, subterranean, area formerly used for storing water for palace and civic use. It is located in Sultanahmet just a short walk from Aya Sophia.

The Cistern was a source of drinking water for meeting the needs of city life in late Roman and throughout the Byzantine era. The area's dimensions are 140m x 70m supported by 336 columns of various style, the majority of of which are Corinthian.
